Peugeot salutes heritage with Peugeot Museum at 2016 MIAS

MANILA, April 4, 2016 — Peugeot has made its presence known at hundreds of motoring shows since the first Paris Motor Show in July 1898, including the annual Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) since debuting the facelifted RCZ sports coupé in 2013.

From April 7 to 10 at the 2016 MIAS, Peugeot will pay homage to its roots with its Peugeot Museum, peer forward into the future with the 308 GTi, and invite attendees to experience Peugeot every day with La Boutique.

Take a step back in time

To satisfy car enthusiasts’ curiosity about Peugeot, young brand ambassadors will take visitors on its first ever Peugeot Heritage Tour, and share with them Peugeot’s three pillars: Heritage, French Origins, and Dual Expertise.

At the Heritage hall, visitors can listen to a lively retelling of Peugeot’s early years, as well as the reason why the Peugeot brothers chose the lion as their emblem.

Upon proceeding to the French Origins hall, they can learn about the distinctive French touch in each Peugeot vehicle, then discover more about Peugeot’s dual expertise in both design and engineering in the final hall.

Showcasing the 308 GTi by Peugeot Sport

To meet sports car enthusiasts’ high expectations after the launch of the 308, Peugeot Sport designers created the 308 GTi — to be displayed front and center in Peugeot’s area at the motor show. Boasting a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio, the 308 GTi possesses a 1.6 litre, 4-cylinder engine with an outstanding 270 horsepower. And with sportier lines and distinguishing features outside, including a checkerboard front grille, GTi logos on the front wings and rear hatch, and aerodynamic reflectors, the 308 GTi is truly a sight to behold.

The Peugeot lifestyle experience

Peugeot’s focus on lifestyle items means that fans of the brand don’t need to purchase a vehicle to enjoy French sensation today.

Peugeot’s lifestyle items will be available at their special pop-up store, La Boutique, throughout the entirety of MIAS. From exclusive Peugeot apparel to a wide selection of miniatures to Peugeot’s world-renowned salt and pepper grinders, La Boutique will give all Peugeot enthusiasts, both old and new, a Peugeot item to take home.
