MANILA, June 6, 2016 —For decades, Peugeot has supported French cultural events and initiatives throughout the world.

This June 8 to 14, 2016, Peugeot Philippines will continue this tradition as the official premium mobility partner of the 21st French Film Festival. During the 21st French Film Festival, 17 French films—originally released between 2014 and 2016—will be screened at the Greenbelt 3 Cinemas in Makati and the Bonifacio High Street Cinemas in Taguig City.

Glen Dasig, the president of Peugeot Philippines, calls the event “a salute to the arts.” “For more than two decades, the French Embassy in Manila has been giving Filipinos a glimpse of French artistry via these beautiful works of modern art,” says Dasig. “Peugeot, which has a deeply rooted history in premium design, also creates art through its products. In essence, we at Peugeot Philippines also aim to give Filipinos a taste of French artistry. Our goals are one and the same: to offer the best of France to the Filipino.”

An evening of sensation

The Peugeot 301, 3008, and Expert Tepee will play an important role in welcoming the evening’s VIPs in style, by transporting them to the red carpet gala at the Bonifacio High Street Cinemas on June 8, 2016.

Representatives from the Embassy of France to the Philippines will be present, as will distinguished Filipino artists, statesmen, and businessmen.

The Philippines’ very own Jaclyn Jose, 2016 Cannes Film Festival Best Actress Winner for her role in Brillante Mendoza’s film Ma’ Rosa, will grace the gala with her presence.

Multi-awarded actress-turned-director Maïwenn’s feature film Mon Roi (My King) will open the festival.

Important projects, global brand

A joint initiative of the Embassy of France to the Philippines, Institut Français, and Alliance Française de Manille and Cebu, in cooperation with the Ayala Malls Cinemas, the French Film Festival is one of the country’s premier venues for discovering and appreciating French cinema and culture.
